Offer your opinions!

Check it out, I have ANOTHER Odd Thing of the Moment. :O So. I was walking around tonight and discovered that this church nearby does, in fact, have a playground. As all good churches do. :) So this made me happy, because I'd been wishing there was a good swingset around. I will now describe the swingset.

It was built in pretty much the simplest shape imaginable, with the legs being single poles rather than the usual double-legs-in-an-upside-down-V setup. Two swings were hung in between the 2 supports, and one off to the edge and outside of them.

I took the one in the middle, because it was the only one more than a foot off the ground. :p And I started swinging. And as I was swinging, the other 2 empty swings started swinging too. Eventually, as I got slightly higher, these two got into, and stayed in, perfect synchronization with each other and opposite to myself-- both going backward as I went forward, and vice versa.

Eventually I decided it was time to leave. o_o

...Anyone have any thoughts?

Yes it was. :p I was really hoping to get, you know, guesses and theories and such, but yeah. It's not like I have any myself.

You're obviously being stalked by a pair of poltergeists.

Where each of the swings individually attached to the upper support, like with eye hooks or what not? or were they all on the same pipe/board/thing?

If all were on the same support, then your own force on your swing can cause the others to move too, just slower then your swing, transfer of energy. The support could be moving with your swing too, a hazard to anyones health if it gave way... You should inform the local church...

I love swings:D

Hrmmm. I *think* there were eyehooks involved, but I can't remember for sure.

Better go investigate some more. ;D Yay, swings...

Either of the above theories is good, if not utterly and completely correct.
