My roommate is going to bed really early lately. Like 9:00.

Is there etiquette I should be observing when she does this, or is staying up okay under the circumstances?

If you like your roommate, avoid being ridicoulously loud. If you hate them... blast bad music... like Richard Cheese or something while keeping all the lights on.

I agree, although if your roommate seems like the type to wage full out war, the latter action may not be very beneficial to your living situation for the rest of the semester.
