Funny, I thought people would have at least SOMETHING to say to that last one. :o
Anyway, since people are not finding it too late to make Pirates 2 posts, I shall add my own!
The thing I ended up pondering about the most was the return of Barbossa, and how the situation is going to work from this point. I mean, this crew under that guy? They're fresh off a teary-eyed loyalty oath to Jack. (Gibbs especially is kinda his lapdog; I can't recall a single instance of him ever speaking ill of Jack or any of his actions.) Surely this mutual grudge the two had going on for, if memory serves, 10 years, is going to get in the way of the mission a little bit.
But looking back on the first movie... call me crazy, now, but I think I have foreseen a good chunk of the plot. :O Because when you think about it, Barbossa is really a pretty okay guy! He's a guy who was staring down the barrel of an eternally torturous existence-- again, had been for ten years-- and still manages to remain flawlessly sane, conducting himself with civility and pursuing his relatively modest and understandable goals with astonishing restraint. Heck, now we can even suspect that the mutiny might have been justified in the first place.
And plus, remember when the mast fell down right next to him and it was like KKRRRRSSSHHHHHHHHHH!!!! and he just stood there? Awesome. I almost hate to say it, but I think he's got my vote. So yeah, I think (I hope!) over the course of the next movie these things will be considered, and loyalties may be seriously reexamined! D:
