A short list of things I can personally attest will not kill you:

1. Spraying yourself in the mouth with spray paint*
2. Applying paint thinner directly to your face to get it off**

*For best results, keep mouth closed

**NOT LACQUER THINNER though

I don't know who signed my Gmail address up for all this spam these many months ago, but-- since the filter works-- I don't mind. In fact, though the messages themselves are never hilarious like some people's are, the names on a lot of them are things of great awesome.

...And a Happy New Year! :D

Alright, let's cut to the chase:
-Final Fantasy III
(I didn't even know I wanted this game after the review warned me of ALL RANDOM BATTLES, ALL THE TIME, but it turns out I did! :D It's adoooorable, everyone go get it. Also, it was important to me, for reasons known only to God, that the main guy be named Minnow. And so he is. Minnow, Earl, Lapis and Cliff! Together we are the WARRIORS OF THE LIGHT! I love finding all the little secret things and I care about what happens to everybody. It's so sweet.)
-An amaaaaazingly good-smelling candle :O
-Lossa choclit
-Some money
-A Christmas miracle )

I had a little box of bandaids that look like strips of bacon to give as a stocking stuffer, BUT I FORGOT. UGH.

Finally, in the tradition of me loving music videos that start with D, here are two more, which I present without comment or description. If you don't like whichever one you watch first, try the other one-- it'll be nothing like it.

Christmas

Dec. 13th, 2006 12:07 pm

From 9:00 AM Sunday to 7:00 PM Tuesday, the last few days of finals, I had two donuts, perhaps three small candy bars, and three and a half hours of sleep.

After 7:00 PM Tuesday, I got into bed (forgetting to log off AIM; sorry everybody) and slept until 4... and then till 9:45... and then 11. I had a parade of dreams where I had wings, or was going on a field trip through space, or was at Disneyworld.

What did I learn? I learned how to make writing essays go faster, and that I can be pretty danged stoic if the need arises, and that John Lennon's "Happy Christmas" is a totally depressing song, and that I love looking at the sky.

It feels like a week of distance between me and Tuesday. But then, 16 hours is a lot of sleep.

Give me one reason I'm going to hell.

Then post this request in your LJ, and I will tell you why YOU are doomed to eternal damnation!

Well, it's true what they say about LJ, isn't it? All right, all right. A little less Jinjo, a little more Jinjo-brand entertainment!

(biggish!)

I did this in class this morning while some visiting artist lady (that the professor let us go see instead of having class :3) was demonstrating her technique. That technique was: taping vine charcoal to the end of a yardstick and taking a half-hour to do an angular structural underlay. She seriously wouldn't get on with it until she saw people drawing along with her. But it was fun to get to do again, since scheduling did not, and will not, allow me to take another figure drawing course. :(

And that's drapery, covering her toe.

Why are you doing this, Texas? I thought we were friends.

I just had a weird thing happen o_o

Out of nowhere I felt something a lot like the bouncy recoil of hitting a tennis ball really hard, in my head. No pain or anything, just that kind of motion... impact... thing. From right to left, if you care to know.

What... is that? :0

Dear Webshots Userbase,

When you apply the tag "cocoon" to photos of yourselves zipped up in sleeping bags, you cause visitors to find pictures of you zipped up in sleeping bags when what they are searching for is pictures of cocoons.

I suspect that you grasp this concept. Just please think about it in this way more often.

You guyyyyyyys :(

A snake got into my apartment! It's kind of tiny and shy and almost certainly non-poisonous, but-- SNAKE. SHARING MY LIVING SPACE.

I repeat, I'm not afraid of being attacked mercilessly by the thing in my sleep. But man, first it was the roaches, then the earthworm coming up the bathroom sink drain (???), then the Pretty Big Spider, and now we have graduated to REPTILES. It's getting a little ridiculous.

But whatever. I satisfied myself that he was not dangerous, I got over it, I named him* and went on with my life. Until I started picturing myself getting up in the middle of the night for a drink of water or whatever, and stepping on him in the dark where he thought he was safe, and him biting the heck out of my toe. So I decided he had to go. I went back and started trying to catch him (cue "AAAAAAAAAHH *flail*") and finally got him within a foot of the door-- and do you know what? SUDDENLY he stops going along the carpet and starts heading... down into it. At first I'm like, "Oh, I guess the carpet is deeper there" or whatever, but more and more of him starts disappearing until finally, he's entirely gone. I started poking furiously at the place with a pencil, about his thickness, and I can find not even the beginnings of a hole.

I HAVE A MAGIC SNAKE PORTAL IN MY APARTMENT AUGH WHY

NO JOKE EVERYONE, A WALKING SHARK

http://msnbc.msn.com/id/14834763/?GT1=8506?GT1=8506

Watch the video; it is adorable, I promise. Also in the slideshow are a couple of pretty fish, and the discovery site (which goes beyond gorgeous and into the realm of fake-looking), but my hope is mostly that you will look at the walking shark.

And it came to pass that her mother descended from the north and visited her. And after they had made their feast upon chicken and pasta they did reach the end of their pilgrimage, and the antique shops received them with gladness and thanksgiving.

Then they saw that the shops were filled with Beanie Babies, ceramic roosters, and all manner of Brighton accessories, and their hearts were saddened and their faces downcast. And they grumbled among themselves, saying, "We came to this city seeking wonders, to be had for less than an hour's wages! How is it that we have not found anything?" So they despaired, and she began to collect things she did not want, to ease her sorrow.

Then her mind was restored, and she exclaimed, "I do not need this bowl with Chinese dragons, though it be only a dollar, nor these cobalt glass bottles either!" For she had seen in a mirror the account of Knormal and understood its truths.

So it came to pass that she looked with merriment at the tray of rhinestone belt buckles the size of index cards,
And lo, she did discover and purchase a randomly intriguing brass medallion thingy for too much money. And her soul was at rest, and she had the remains of the feast of chicken and pasta laid up for another day.

There was a cantaloupe ice cream flavor at the store just now! It's pretty yummy. Chunks the size of... of... I don't know what. Really large acorns.

Also, my broken digital camera has done the technologically impossible:

It has healed.

YAY I HAVE A CAMERA AGAIN

NEVER MIND IT'S BROKEN AGAIN NOW

To celebrate, my newest piece of happy jewelry, which I am having a harder and harder time not thinking of as a real live luck charm.

The camera loves you, baby~ )

Funny, I thought people would have at least SOMETHING to say to that last one. :o

Anyway, since people are not finding it too late to make Pirates 2 posts, I shall add my own!

Watch first, read on later!!! D: )

IS MY FUTURE HUSBAND :3

(No spoilers past Beast/Mulanworld please)

Oh and um. New job is love. I sell clothes to nice ladies for $8 an hour!

I know I must have something more to say but I do not! Oh, right, there was the Vikingfest entry from like last month. Whatever, I'll backdate it so no one'll notice. That is how that feature works, right?

Well. I leave for the summer tomorrow.

Hopefully between now and then I'll get some closure over this semester. I'm still not thinking like I'm going to be doing anything other than going to class Monday.

Here. I heard this song on the radio and it made me cry. Enjoy!
